Terms of Service
Welcome to the website of the Egyptian Theatre Preservation Association (“ETPA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that restores, preserves, and operates the historic Egyptian Theatre at 229 S. Broadway, Coos Bay, Oregon. By using this website you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Using this site
This is an informational website about the ETPA and the theatre. You may browse it and use its features for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don’t:
- use the site in any way that breaks the law or infringes someone’s rights;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the site or the systems behind it;
- scrape, copy, or republish substantial portions of the site’s content without our written permission;
- submit false information through our forms or impersonate anyone.
Donations & memberships
Donations and membership purchases are processed through Zeffy, a payment platform for nonprofits, via forms embedded on our Donate and Join pages. Your payment is handled by Zeffy (we never receive or store your card details), and Zeffy issues your receipt. During checkout Zeffy may invite you to add an optional tip that supports Zeffy; that tip is separate from your gift to ETPA and is entirely optional. For questions about a donation, membership, or refund, contact us directly at the number or email below.
Newsletter & other inquiries
Our newsletter signup form, and the volunteer sign-up on our events site, let you ask to be added to our mailing list or to volunteer. Submitting a form is a request only. It does not create a booking, reservation, or agreement. Nothing is confirmed until a member of our team responds to you.
Content & intellectual property
The text, graphics, logos, and design of this site are owned by ETPA or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Many of the photographs on this site are used with the permission of their photographers and owners. Interior and architectural photography is by Allison Wasson Photography, and other images come from the ETPA’s archives and volunteers. Please don’t reuse our content or these photographs without permission.
Links & third-party services
The site links to and relies on services run by others, including Zeffy, Mailchimp (our email newsletter service), our separate box-office and events site, and social media platforms. We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don’t warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the information on it is complete or current.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ETPA and its board, staff, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the effective date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the site will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Coos County, Oregon.
